Pre-requisites: Completion of a pre-registration concept review; Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry; Supplies: text, notebook, graphing paper, scientific calculator.

This course is designed for students who would like to further their mathematical background, with the intention of eventually taking College Algebra or Calculus, or who have an interest in majoring in a math or science related field. The course will include work with functions and their graphs, rational and complex numbers, exponents, logarithms, matrices, trigonometry, radian and degree measures, the unit circle, conic sections, and introduce ideas involving sequences and counting principles. Grades are calculated from weekly homework assignments, quizzes, chapter tests, and two projects (one due late January, one due after Spring Break). Absences are excused only with an email from parent within 24 hours of missed class. Late assignments drop 1 letter grade; no late assignments accepted after 1 week.
