Grades: 4-8  Ages: 10 -13

Monthly Cost: $30

Materials Fee: $40

Mixed Media is a technique involving the use of two or more artistic medias, such as ink and pastel or painting and collage that are combined in a single composition. This class will touch on different mediums of art, studying different tools, materials and their uses, and experiment with different techniques and styles of creating art.

We will experiment with print making, fabric dying, paper marbling, collage, watercolors, pattern transfer, acrylic paint, alcohol inks, and more! We will take an occasional break from our art journals and canvases to work on other art project with glass, ceramic, fabric, and wood throughout the year. Supplies Needed: Students will need a mixed media art journal (I recommend a 9×12 Strathmore 400 Series or 500 Series) and six canvases (any size is fine between 8×10 and 12×14). Students will need to bring their journals to class weekly and bring all canvases on the 1st day of SHEEP.
